We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Lecturer in Computing to join us, teaching on a range of courses for adults and young people, including BTEC & Technical (Tlevel) qualifications.

Developing the curriculum in line with national requirements, you must assist in developing student-centred teaching and learning strategies to contribute to increased retention, achievement, and progression. You will provide regular feedback to students as identified in the College Charter, giving group and individual tutorial support to enable them to achieve maximum benefit from their course or programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To teach and assess learning on a range of courses, which include 16-19 and adult learners. Courses range from entry level to level 3, including college-based qualifications and workforce development.
  • To work effectively as a member of the team, liaising with the Senior Curriculum Manager and all colleagues in the College.
  • To take an active role in your own professional development in relation to all aspects of the role.
  • To have some experience of online or blended teaching/learning.

Who You Are:

With a relevant degree (or equivalent) and a teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards this), the successful candidate must have proven experience of teaching and preparing relevant materials. You must have an awareness of the pastoral and academic needs of students from a variety of backgrounds and a commitment to inclusive education. Experience of working with Apprenticeship standards is desirable.

Term time is from GCSE results day to mid-July. Interviews will take place on 14.07.2025.
