Job Description:

An exciting full-time maternity cover post for 12 months has arisen for an experienced veterinary surgeon (MRCVS) passionate about inspiring undergraduate students in small animal practice. Experienced clinicians interested in moving into education and developing their teaching skills within a multidisciplinary department are encouraged to apply.

The role

The primary focus will be supporting clinical teaching across the curriculum, preparing students for their final year rotations. The role emphasizes small group practical teaching, alongside lectures and tutorials. Travel to offsite partners may be required.

We are open to considering a job-share role at a minimum of 0.5 FTE.

About you

The ideal candidate will be a UK-registered (or eligible to register) veterinary surgeon with experience in first opinion practice across species. While a teaching qualification is not mandatory, prior experience teaching veterinary undergraduates or supporting new graduates is advantageous. A postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject is desirable.

Enthusiasm, adaptability, creativity, and excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential.
