Job summary

NCG is seeking a motivated Lecturer to plan, deliver and assess Level 2/3 Protective Services courses. You will guide students through knowledge and practical skills for progression to further study or careers in public services, policing and related fields.

You will design inclusive lessons, use diverse teaching methods, and provide constructive feedback to support progression while upholding safeguarding and college standards. Join a supportive team dedicated to learner success.

Qualifications

• A recognised teaching qualification.
• Level 2 English and Maths (e.g. GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent).
• The ability to plan and deliver effective, inclusive teaching for diverse learners.
• Knowledge of subject-specific pedagogy and current teaching practices in further or higher education.
• Clear communication and strong organisational skills.
• Confidence using digital tools to support learning.
• A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver learning across Level 2/3 Protective Services courses.
• Using inclusive teaching approaches and varied activities to engage learners.
• Provide feedback to support learner progress and track attainment.
• Support students’ English, maths and employability skills through course activities.
• Organise practical activities and supervise field/work-based experiences.
• Build links with employers and partners for guest lectures and work experience.
• Maintain records of attendance, progress and wellbeing; ensure safeguarding compliance.
