Job summary

Leeds City College is recruiting a Teacher of Uniformed Public Services to deliver inspiring sessions and help learners prepare for careers in uniformed services such as the armed forces or emergency services.

The School of Public Services supports over 400 students from Level 1 to 3, focusing on discipline, teamwork and practical learning. The role emphasises developing essential skills and positive learner progression.

Qualifications

• Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their optimum.
• A passion for subjects relating to emergency services and the armed forces.
• Up-to-date knowledge from working in Uniformed Public Services or delivering FE/school sector.

Responsibilities

• Deliver topics preparing learners for a career in uniformed services.
• Carry out map reading and navigation across open country.
• Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans and learning resources.
• Deliver inspiring sessions across the curriculum using varied teaching methods.
• Record student progress and adapt delivery to maximise effectiveness using technology.
