Lecturer in Sport and Public Services x 2
Based at the St Albans Campus
Full Time 37 hours per week
£28, - £43, per annum – Depending on skills and experience
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Sports and public services team; the successful candidate will deliver units up to Level 3 in Sport and Public Services. You will have extensive industry experience in the sport and fitness industry, sport coaching or a public service and hold the appropriate qualifications to teach specialist qualifications.
As part of the role, you will be involved in interviewing, guidance, initial assessment, selection, and induction of students to learning programmes. You will be required to work as part of the course team in the development, design, review and evaluation of the curriculum and associated learning materials. You will also be required to take on personal tutor duties as part of this role and experience in this is desirable.
You should hold as a minimum a Level 3 subject specialist qualification or higher when necessary to teach the subject area at the required level and, relevant industry experience in the subject specialism. BTEC knowledge is also preferred although this is not essential as the College will support you in achieving this as part of your professional development.
In addition to the teaching, you will be required to include preparation, classroom delivery and marking, and to deliver tutorial activity related to programmes of study.
