Nottingham College is seeking a dedicated Chemistry lecturer to join the Science team at City Hub. You will deliver engaging chemistry teaching across Level 1 to Level 3 and university level courses, drawing on industry connections and strong subject knowledge.

What you'll do

The Science Faculty at Nottingham College offers a wide range of subjects in a friendly and supportive environment, with first‑class teaching and modern facilities. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Chemistry lecturer to join our team.

We welcome applicants with course lead experience who are passionate about their subject and committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning. You will be expected to teach across a variety of programmes, including Levels 1 to 3 and our university level courses. The ability to teach Biology, Physics or Chemistry at Level 3 is essential.

A relevant degree in a science subject and a recognised teaching qualification is required. Shortlisting will be based on how closely your application meets the essential and desirable criteria outlined in the person specification. Who we’re looking for

Applicants must have recent teaching experience within the UK education system, ideally in Further Education or a comparable setting, with a strong understanding of curriculum requirements to each across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, including qualifications such as BTEC, Access to Higher Education and T Levels at a range of levels.

Our Science Faculty is committed to raising standards of science education across the region and supports students on both academic and vocational pathways, from Level 1 through to Level 6. We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring educator who brings energy, creativity and a student‑centred approach to teaching.

The successful candidate will have the ability to make science engaging, accessible and relevant, creating inclusive learning experiences that inspire students to achieve their full potential and develop a genuine passion for the subject.
