About us

The School of Education, Communication and Society is renowned for its expertise in science and mathematics education; language, culture and communication; and public policy. We have been at the forefront of teacher education since the 1890s. We wish to appoint a Lecturer in Religious Education to lead our Religious Education PGCE, which is rated as “outstanding” by Ofsted.

About the role

This is an opportunity for a dynamic individual with expertise in teaching Religious Education at the secondary school level to join the School of Education, Communication and Society at one of the top 10 UK universities in the world. King’s College London offers an intellectually stimulating environment where staff are dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and learning, in the service of society. The Lecturer in Religious Education will lead curriculum development and teaching on the Religious Education PGCE. This role will also contribute to the academic life of the Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR) and will act as a Personal Tutor to PGCE students.

The post is offered on our Academic Education Pathway. It is a full-time (35 hours per week) position with an indefinite contract.
