Job Description:

The Global Development Institute (GDI) at the University of Manchester is seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Politics and Development to enhance its research and teaching in global development. The role focuses on supporting GDI’s new BSc Global Development program and expanding expertise in areas such as political economy, industrial policy, social policy, state capacity, land and natural resource governance, with a particular interest in the politics of gender in the global South.

Candidates should hold a PhD in development studies with a focus on politics, demonstrate a record of research success through publications, and have experience in teaching and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
