Job summary

Wiltshire College & University Centre in Chippenham is seeking a Lecturer in Plumbing & Heating Engineering. The role involves teaching and assessing learners across plumbing programmes, delivering practical sessions, and instilling industry-standard skills and safety practices.

Experience in plumbing/heat engineering is essential, with a Level 3 NVQ and gas competency. A teaching qualification is welcomed, with support to obtain it if needed. Closing date 15/09/26; permanent, full-time post.

Qualifications

  • A Level 3 NVQ in Plumbing is required.
  • Gas competency is essential.
  • IQA & Assessors Award or willingness to work towards one.
  • Industry experience within Plumbing & Heating Engineering.
  • Teaching qualification welcomed but support to achieve it is provided.

  • Teach and assess learners across Plumbing & Heating programmes, including full-time courses and apprenticeships.
  • Deliver engaging, practical sessions in workshop and classroom environments.
  • Support learners in developing industry-standard skills, knowledge, and safe working practices.

  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, safeguarding, and professionalism.

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

  • Experience supporting or mentoring others, either in the workplace or education
  • A teaching qualification is welcomed but if you dont have one yet, well support you to achieve it while you work
