Job summary

Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking a Lecturer in Plumbing & Heating Engineering to teach and assess learners across full‑time and apprenticeship programmes at our Chippenham site.

The role requires industry experience, gas competency, and a willingness to pursue a teaching qualification; the college will support CPD and professional development. Salary reflects up to £40,814 with a specialist skills bonus and a permanent, full‑time contract.

Qualifications

  • Gas competency.
  • IQA & Assessors Award or willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and assess learners across Plumbing & Heating programmes, including full‑time courses and apprenticeships.
  • Deliver engaging, practical sessions in workshop and classroom environments.
  • Support learners in developing industry‑standard skills, knowledge, and safe working practices.
  • Embed current industry practices, regulations, and sustainability principles into teaching.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, safeguarding, and professionalism.
  • Track learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
