Job description

About the role

The Department of Chemistry at Bath has a vacant fixed-term Computational/Physical Chemistry Lectureship position (teaching only), available from September 2025 to August 2027 to cover a staff member supported through a secondment. The successful candidate will prepare and deliver teaching material, assess coursework, act as an academic advisor, run small group teaching activities, and supervise undergraduate laboratory classes. This role involves significant responsibility and offers an opportunity to contribute proactively and creatively to the department's teaching development. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of high-quality teaching in chemistry.

About you
  • You will hold an undergraduate degree and a postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject area, actively working towards completing a PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and experience.

  • You demonstrate depth and breadth of understanding of subject matters appropriate to the teaching to be delivered.
