Job summary

University of Suffolk seeks a Lecturer in Pharmacy to deliver pharmaceutics teaching, assessments, and scholarly activity across full-time and part-time cohorts.

You will work under the Head of Pharmacy within the School of Health, Sciences & Society, contributing to teaching delivery, research, and administration. A PhD in Pharmaceutics and a teaching qualification or plan to achieve Fellowship are required.

• PhD in Pharmaceutics.
• HE teaching qualification or commitment to achieve Fellowship of Advanced HE within 18 months (12 months for experienced academics).

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week

Salary: Band 6, £43,482 - £48,823 per annum (non-negotiable)

Working under the guidance of the Head of Pharmacy, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving innovation and excellence within our pharmaceutics theme in teaching, research, and professional practice. As a Lecturer in Pharmacy, you will have experience of teaching Pharmaceutics, and will be expected to deliver learning, teaching, and assessment to full-time and part-time students and to engage in scholarly activity and research. In addition, the post holder will take an active role in the wider work and administration of the School.

It is essential that you have an undergraduate degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or a relevant discipline, a PhD in a relevant area of Pharmaceutics and a HE teaching qualification or commitment to achieve Fellowship of Advanced HE status within 18 months of appointment (12 months for experienced academics).
