An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer and Tutor - Pharmacy Technician Education to join the School of Chemistry, Pharmacy and Pharmacology to deliver lectures, carry out teaching-related duties and advisor support to pre-registration trainees pharmacy technician apprentices and post qualification pharmacy technicians.
The main role focuses on teaching and assessment of our programmes for both pre and post qualification pharmacy technicians across different NHS sectors and settings. Therefore, applicants should have both knowledge and enthusiasm for pharmacy technician education and for the progression of pharmacy technicians as healthcare professionals.
Alongside our enthusiastic team you will actively contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of the courses. Therefore, together with your experience as an educator, you must be a good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You will ideally hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and have previous experience of teaching formally in small and large groups. You will also have experience in work-based assessment and should be able to meet all the essential elements set out in the person specification for this post.

This full-time post is available from 23 November 2026 on an indefinite basis.
