The University of Worcester invites applications for a Lecturer in Pharmacology to contribute to the delivery and development of pharmacology teaching within the MPharm programme. The postholder will deliver high quality, research-informed teaching and maintain an active research profile in pharmacology or a closely related discipline, supporting the integration with clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice.
This role supports the accreditation process with the GPhC for the new MPharm degree.
The Lecturer in Pharmacology will contribute to the delivery and development of pharmacology teaching within the MPharm programme, supporting the integration of pharmacological science with clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice.
The postholder will deliver high quality, research informed teaching and maintain an active research profile in pharmacology or a closely related discipline, contributing to the research culture of the School.
This role is integral to the University’s successful completion of the General Pharmaceutical Council’s (GPhC) accreditation process for a new MPharm degree.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to deliver a teaching session, followed by a formal panel interview. The teaching brief is as follows:
Please facilitate a 30-minute interactive teaching session on a pharmacological topic of your choice, suitable for Level 4 undergraduate MPharm students.
For the purposes of this teaching session, you should assume the audience are Level 4 undergraduate students.
Please note, the teaching session will take place on campus on Day 1 of the selection process, with successful candidates at that stage progressing to the formal panel interview on Day 2.
