Job description

Chichester College Group has an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Motor Vehicle at our Shoreham Airport campus. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £26,716 - £41,659 per annum (pro rata, i.e., £21,372 - £33,327).

Work Pattern: 29.6 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Join Northbrook College as a Lecturer in Motor Vehicle and inspire the future of automotive engineering! You will receive a £3,000 (pro rata, i.e., £2,400) retention payment upon successful completion of your probation.

The Lecturer in Motor Vehicle Role

You will deliver engaging, practical lessons across Entry Level to Level 3 Motor Vehicle and Motorsport courses. Your focus will be on Motor Vehicle Maintenance qualifications, equipping learners with essential technical skills and industry insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver teaching and learning activities, including tutoring.
  • Prepare learning materials and conduct assessments and assignments timely.
  • Manage administration and provide reports on student progress.
  • Support student retention and success, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
  • Develop curricula considering literacy, numeracy, equality, and diversity.
  • Understand safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Stay updated on educational policies and issues.
  • Participate in marketing activities to promote the college and attract students.
  • Deliver literacy and numeracy support.
Ideal Candidate Skills and Experience
  • Relevant industrial or commercial experience in automotive or motorsport.
  • Knowledge of Motor Vehicle and Motorsport.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
