Job description

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the School of Engineering for a full time Lecturer in Motor Vehicle based at our brand-new Construction and Engineering Campus in Luton.

Responsibilities
  • Teach across a variety of Motor Vehicle courses, including full-time IMI Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 courses.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive theory sessions that motivate learners and link to industry.
  • Deliver practical sessions in a workshop.
  • Put Teaching, Learning and Assessment at the forefront of practice and aspire to excellence in all areas of work.
  • Be a strong role model for our learners and value the learner experience.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Hold appropriate professional qualifications and have considerable experience in the motor vehicle industry.
  • Ability to teach and assess at Level 3; a teaching qualification is desirable but not essential as training and the opportunity to achieve a teaching qualification will be provided.
  • An IQA qualification would be advantageous.
  • Effective time management, ability to meet deadlines, and confidence to contribute to and improve the team.
