Role Summary

We are looking to recruit 2 full-time Lecturers in Mental Health nursing to support a range of teaching and learning activities across all our pre‑registration nursing courses. We are advertising x1 permanent post and x1, 1-year fixed term contract. You must be an experienced mental health nurse, highly motivated and well organised, with excellent communication skills. You will be joining our future‑focused, innovative, and creative team. We are motivated by the student experience of learning and teaching, and by student success and are proud to be educating the nurses of the future.

You must hold active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Mental Health Nurse. Previous experience of teaching is desirable; however, we are also keen to support people making a move from clinical practice to nurse education.

The university offers academic and professional development, including support to gain a post‑graduate teaching qualification if required. You will be supported to follow your interests, to bring your clinical experience and creativity to the development of inclusive and engaging teaching approaches, and to work collaboratively with students and stakeholders. We have a proven track record of student satisfaction in teaching and learning, and we are keen to become national leaders in the delivery of undergraduate education for Mental Health Nurses.
