Overview

We are looking for Lecturer in Mental Health and Wellbeing to join our Adult Education Team. This is a 14 hours per week role offering a salary of £30,202 to £41,769 (pro rata) per annum.

Job Purpose / Key Responsibilities

To effectively deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment based on best practice pedagogical approaches for all types of provision.

• To carry out formal scheduled teaching
• Undertake a personal tutor and/or programme leader role to groups of students to maintain high achievement rates.
• Prepare delivery plans, sequenced learning plans and learning materials.
• Mark students’ work and examinations and carry out internal quality assurance.

Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in health or mental health related subject
• Recognised full teaching qualification or be working towards a level 5 teaching award or equivalent within 2 years
• Able to evidence successful experience of teaching, training or assessing students, particularly adult students
• Able to demonstrate the ability to use IT to support students in teaching, learning and assessment in a flexible learning environment
