Job description

The School of Medicine & Dentistry has designed and developed a new 2 year accelerated BSc Medical Sciences programme to be delivered at our Burnley Campus. The School wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Medical Sciences to contribute to course management, delivery and development of the two-year programme.
Working within a committed and enthusiastic team you will focus primarily on the accelerated 2-year BSc Medical Sciences. You will contribute to course delivery and assessment under the areas of clinical skills, research methods, biochemistry and anatomy and also contribute towards student recruitment through relevant activities.
About you:
You will hold an undergraduate degree in one of the relevant areas. A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) or recognised teaching qualification are not an essential requirement but would be desirable.
Experience of teaching within Higher Education is essential, along with experience of developing teaching and learning resources and of delivering student assessments. You will have a commitment to continued professional development and of the University’s strategy and values.
You must possess high quality communication and presentation skills; have an ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
