Job description

The School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Greenwich is seeking to recruit two new Lecturers in Mathematics, with expertise in Teaching, Research, and Knowledge Exchange in their field and solid experience in Data Science applications. This is an opportunity to join a vibrant teaching and research environment, with over 120 staff and PhD students working on current and future challenges in Computer Science, AI, Cyber Security, and Mathematical Sciences.

We expect candidates to have a background that complements existing research activities related to their expertise. These posts will be allocated to one of the University’s Career Pathways, involving participation and leadership in Teaching, with a strong emphasis on Research and Enterprise.

The successful candidates will work closely with academic teams in the School of Computing & Mathematical Sciences and contribute to existing Teaching, Research, and Enterprise. Candidates should demonstrate a strong research profile, teaching expertise, and student supervision experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field is required.

Experience delivering systems according to GDPR compliance would be desirable.

Candidates must demonstrate eagerness to collaborate with colleagues within the School and the University. Experience in multi-disciplinary research, participation in Research and Knowledge Exchange bids, and developing new undergraduate or postgraduate modules are highly desirable.
