Job summary

Perth College UHI is seeking an experienced live audio engineer to join our Audio, Music and Theatre Industries team. You will bring current professional practice into the classroom and our live events, teaching across SCQF Levels 5-10 with a focus on Live Audio within the BSc Audio Engineering degree.

You will have an undergraduate degree or equivalent and strong practical expertise in live event audio, networked audio using Dante/AES50/SLink, SMAART and ArrayCalc.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification.
Experience with live event audio—mixing, recording, system management, networking and loudspeaker configuration.
Experience with networked audio using Dante, AES50 or SLink; familiarity with SMAART and ArrayCalc.

Responsibilities

Teach across audio provision from SCQF Levels 5-10, with a focus on Live Audio within the BSc Audio Engineering degree.
Collaborate on live gigs, theatre productions and external events to give students authentic industry exposure.
Communicate clearly, organise effectively and supervise equipment maintenance and health & safety.
Contribute to shaping the next generation of audio engineers by sharing industry expertise and practical practice.
