Lecturer in Games Design and Development – Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + £4,000 joining bonus*; Hours: 37 hours per week; Location: Gloucester.

Join Gloucestershire College as a Lecturer in Games Design and Development and help shape the future of the creative digital industry. You’ll deliver engaging and immersive teaching across BTEC Level 3 and potentially HE courses, guiding learners through the core areas of games design including graphics, sound, moving image, character and environment development.

Whether you\'re an experienced educator or a games industry professional ready to inspire the next generation, we’ll support you with a teaching qualification and mentoring from our experienced Computing team. You’ll help learners build practical portfolios and develop transferable skills in problem solving, communication, and professional practice.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and immersive teaching across BTEC Level 3 courses and potentially HE courses.
  • Guide learners through core areas of games design, including graphics, sound, moving image, character and environment development.
  • Help learners build practical portfolios and develop transferable skills in problem solving, communication, and professional practice.
  • Contribute to a supportive learning environment and collaborate with the Computing team.
  • Support the College in promoting industry links and real-world project experiences.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience in games design and development or related industry experience.
  • Ability to deliver teaching and learning across the stated course levels; the College provides support for a teaching qualification.
  • Willingness to work in a role that may be full-time or part-time.
