To support our continuing growth, we are seeking to appoint an experienced Lecturer in Finance within the Department of Finance, Accounting and Risk, based in the Glasgow School for Business and Society.

As a Lecturer in Finance, you will have a focus on providing high-quality learning and teaching that is underpinned by scholarly activity. We are keen to receive applications from people who will enhance our delivery of and reputation in Finance and Financial Services. Applicants should hold relevant qualifications in the subject area, and ideally a professional qualification in the area of Finance/Accounting. The applicant must be able to demonstrate recent experience of teaching in a HE institutional setting. Relevant industry experience would be an advantage.

Lecturers are expected to contribute to the delivery and assessment of existing modules, supervision, and the enhancement of the student experience across the range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Applicants for this role are required to possess expertise in some of the following specialisms: Personal Investment; Pensions; Regulation of Financial Services; Mortgages and Personal Lending; Consumer Issues in Retail Financial Services; Financial Technology. Prior experience of supporting student learning, teaching and assessment in higher or further education is essential. A higher education teaching qualification and/or Fellow status with AdvanceHE is desirable. The post holders will also be expected to contribute to ensuring curricula are current by engaging in further development of the subject area to ensure academic rigour.
