Lecturer in Environmental Geography
Are you an environmental geographer enthusiastic about sharing your knowledge on sustainability and climate change?
We are seeking to appoint an environmental geographer to join our team, teaching geography, environment, sustainability, and climate change programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The successful candidate will contribute to modules on ‘Environmental Processes’, ‘Climate Change’, ‘Environment and Policy’, and ‘Living with Climate Change’, and will act as Programme Director for our MSc Climate Change.
This position has arisen due to the secondment of the current postholder to lead an externally funded environmental education project. Applicants should be committed to excellence in teaching and student support, particularly meeting the needs of adult learners and those studying part-time and flexibly.
Contract
This is a part-time position, working 28 hours per week (FTE), on a fixed-term basis for 2 years starting 25 September 2023.
Salary and Benefits
The salary ranges from £33,892 to £46,843 per annum pro rata (80% of £42,365 rising to £58,554 FTE). The salary is pro-rated for this part-time role and is on the College's London pay scale, which includes a consolidated weighting/allowance applicable to staff whose contractual work location is in Greater London.
