Chichester College Group invites applications for a Lecturer in English focused on small groups and one-to-one support for 16–19-year-old students, helping them improve English GCSE results. The role involves planning, delivering engaging lessons, and tracking progress with provided resources.
The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching or supporting learners, with strong communication and adaptability to diverse needs.
Are you able to support students to develop their English skills in small groups or with 1 to 1 support ?
As our Lecturer you will support 16–19-year-old students needing to improve their English GCSE grade. For many, it's a second or third attempt, and confidence can be low. We're looking for a skilled, patient, and encouraging Lecturer to help them turn that around.
You'll deliver English in small groups/ one-to-one sessions, working closely with the other English Lecturers to help students' close skills gaps and improve their exam technique. You'll also help rebuild belief in their own ability, which is often just as important as the content itself. All planning, resources, and tracking documents will be provided.
This is a fixed term role until 30 July 2027.
