Our Maths & English Department is expanding, and we are excited to invite applications for a Lecturer in English.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced candidate to join our dedicated team at Macclesfield College.

The Role

To deliver effective teaching, learning, and assessment within the English curriculum area.

Main Duties

1. Plan teaching, learning, and assessment for college programmes using the appropriate college format to ensure effective learning.
2. Deliver teaching and learning to at least a consistently good or outstanding standard to achieve high success rates.
3. Assess learners' work accurately, both formatively and summatively, against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure qualification achievement.
4. Comply with all college quality assurance procedures to ensure successful internal and external audits.
5. Utilize all resources effectively to enhance learners' experiences, resulting in positive learning outcomes and high professional standards.

Salary and Hours

Up to £37,182.02 per annum (dependent on skills and experience, pro-rata).

Hours: 18.5 hours per week
