About the role

Reaseheath College is seeking two skilled and committed Lecturers in English to join our English and Maths team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to contribute meaningfully to learner progress.

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for teaching GCSE English Language, with the potential to deliver Functional Skills English where required. You’ll plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that support student progress, develop essential skills, and align with our curriculum goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for teaching GCSE English Language, although additional Functional Skills English teaching may be require

  • Plan and deliver lessons that align with curriculum goal
  • Assess student learning and progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure success

The successful candidate will:

A degree or relevant professional qualification

Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent)

A recognised teaching qualification

Recent experience in FE and a strong track record of learner success

As a College, we actively encourage applications from industry professionals without a teaching qualification, as well as those from qualified teachers. Reaseheath offers a full CPD programme with access to funded qualifications alongside hands on support whilst completing Further Education Training. Industry professionals joining the College in an academic role, will complete their Further Education Training whilst in post.

The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment.
