Job description

Job Title: Lecturer in Engineering Geology (Teaching and Scholarship)

The School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Engineering Geology. This role involves delivering teaching at postgraduate and undergraduate levels, with a focus on geotechnical site investigation.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Contributing significantly to teaching on taught postgraduate and undergraduate courses.
  2. Leading modules, lectures, and workshops, particularly for MSc in Engineering Geology and related programmes.
  3. Engaging in administrative duties and academic leadership within the field.

Candidate requirements:

  1. PhD in Geosciences, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  2. Experience in academia or industry in relevant fields.
  3. Evidence of leadership skills and effective teaching at all levels, including field-based teaching.
  4. Desirable: Ability to build partnerships for applied curriculum delivery and employability outcomes.

This position offers flexible working arrangements and is based on campus or hybrid.
