Job description

This job application is restricted to applicants in the UK only.

We are seeking to appoint a lecturer in Electrical Installation to teach and assess across a range of programmes up to level 3 including apprenticeships, T Level and Advanced Technical Diploma, adult and full-time students.

Based at our brand new state-of-the-art Construction and Automotive Green Technology Centre, this is an exciting time to join Kidderminster College and to train the next generation of electricians in the region.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with our curriculum communities of practice and to participate in the NCG construction skills showcases and competitions.

Construction is a key priority area for growth across the region and Kidderminster College. Over the last 3 years, Kidderminster College has seen unprecedented growth across our construction curriculum, and with that set to continue in our new facility, there has never been a better time to join #TeamKC!

Kidderminster College has been around for over 140 years and we specialise in vocational courses. This means when our students leave us, they’re ready to launch into their dream career!

Being a smaller college, with around 200 staff and 2,000 students, we’re able to concentrate on supporting our learners and helping them find their place in the world. With a real sense of support and community, #TeamKC provides the perfect next step for students making that sometimes daunting step from school to higher education or straight into the workplace.

Our main campus is based in the centre of Kidderminster Town, which means that we’re at the heart of everything here. Our second campus, the Vocational Skills Centre, is a short walk away and houses our Motor Vehicle and Vehicle Respray garages and our builders’ yard.

Our state-of-the-art facilities provide the perfect environment to help truly push our students and assist them with carving out their perfect career. With our recording studios, Apple suite, fully-equipped theatre, professional workshops, high-class salon, kitted-out classrooms, expert acting and dance studios, and our partnership with The West Midlands Safari Park, we aim to provide the best learning experience possible for our cohort.

We’re a community at Kidderminster College and we’d love for you to join the team!

Kidderminster College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff to share this commitment.

At Kidderminster College, our values are not just about what we do, but also about how we do things. Our values underpin the culture and beliefs of our organisation, and we expect all our staff to demonstrate behaviours in line with our core values.

  1. Being both inclusive and diverse
  2. Trusting and respecting our communities
  3. Taking ownership whilst working collaboratively
  4. Inspiring excellence and curiosity

As part of the NCG Group, Kidderminster College offers an excellent benefits package, including generous holiday entitlement, access to the Teachers’ pension scheme (for teaching posts) or Local Government pension scheme (non-teaching posts), company sick pay, a cycle to work scheme, and much more.

NCG seeks to promote and maintain an equal, diverse, inclusive, and supportive environment for work and study that assists all members of our communities to reach their full potential. We are committed to achieving a truly representative workforce and therefore welcome applications from across the national and regional communities that we work with and serve.
