Global Banking School (GBS) Lecturer in Construction Management

Global Banking School (GBS), founded in 2010, is a specialist training center for finance, investment banking, and other professional courses. With ten campuses across London, Birmingham, Leeds, and Manchester, and over 35,000 students, GBS offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

We are currently seeking full-time Lecturers in Construction Management to teach across various levels. Flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings, and weekends is required.

Please note: this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Role Overview

You will educate and inspire students in construction management, covering legal, environmental, and technological aspects of the industry. Responsibilities include delivering course materials, overseeing student work, and staying updated with student support practices.

Responsibilities
  1. Plan, deliver, and assess student work to meet learning outcomes
  2. Develop and update course materials
  3. Utilize various teaching methods, including online learning
  4. Participate in staff development, peer observations, and administrative duties
  5. Support student success and retention
Essential Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant subject (PhD preferred)
  • UK HE lecturing experience in related areas
  • Strong knowledge of construction management
  • Experience supervising student work and providing feedback
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Experience supporting online and face-to-face learners
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and team skills
  • Ability to work with diverse groups
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM), digital construction technologies, or CAD workshops
  • Teaching qualification or Fellowship of HEA
  • Experience in curriculum development or professional education
  • Membership of CIOB or similar professional body
