Overview

Job Title: Lecturer in Construction Management - Land Surveying

Hours: 37 per week

Salary: £40,454 - £42,828 per annum

We are an award-winning college seeking exceptional staff to fulfil our ambitions and inspire the next generation in the industry. We have an excellent reputation in Construction and the Built Environment and are looking for full time or part time lecturers in Construction Management & Land Surveying to join our team of construction specialists. If you have industry experience in Land Surveying and are interested in a teaching career, we would like to hear from you.

The ability to communicate effectively with adults is essential. Experience of teaching at higher level is desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver teaching and learning in Construction Management and Land Surveying, with a focus on aspirational teaching to inspire students.
  • Engage with adult learners and support their progression.
  • Contribute to the development of high-quality courses and student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain the college's high standards of teaching and facilities.
  • Participate in professional development to enhance teaching practice.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Possession of (or willingness to achieve) a Certificate in Education. Teacher training will be provided if necessary.
  • Industry experience in Land Surveying is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with adults; experience of teaching at Higher level is desirable.
Training and Support
  • Leeds College of Building will fund successful candidates to become a qualified FE teacher.
  • Optional additional support to achieve a Certificate in Education if required.
