Overview

First Military Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic lecturer to join a Built Environment team and work on planning and introducing T Level courses in Construction and the Built Environment/Civil Engineering at the College. Courses include Levels 2 to 5 from BTEC/Edexcel/Pearson.

You should possess a degree in Construction Management and/or Civil Engineering or equivalent, with at least 3 years’ experience in the Construction industry. The role offers a supportive team environment, training, development opportunities, and career progression, including funding for a Level 5 teacher training qualification.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Teach programmes from Level 2 to Level 5 in Construction and Civil Engineering.
  • Assist with room and course timetable management.
  • Support the development of new courses in construction and the built environment.
  • Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and resources.
  • Utilize IT and learning technology in teaching.
  • Integrate English and Maths delivery and assessment as appropriate.
  • Ensure student attendance and achievement across all study areas.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback.
  • Promote equality, diversity, health, safety, and safeguarding policies.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Construction Management and/or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Level 5 teaching qualification or willingness to attain one.
  • Assessor/verifier awards or willingness to undertake.

  • Ability to teach BTEC and HNC courses.
