Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting an ICT Lecturer for a leading Further Education provider in Bedford. This temporary, full-time role starts in September and focuses on delivering high-quality ICT education to FE/Sixth Form students.

The successful candidate will have teaching experience in ICT, a recognised teaching qualification, and be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess learners, and support progression.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching ICT in FE or Sixth Form settings.
• Strong ICT/Computing knowledge across related topics.
• Recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective ICT lessons across the relevant curriculum.


• Plan and deliver lessons, learning activities and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.


• Support students with their academic and technical development.


• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.


• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress.


• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.


• Use practical and engaging teaching methods to develop students' digital and technical skills.


• Work collaboratively with the wider teaching team.


• Support students in developing the skills required for further study and employment.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience teaching

ICT within an FE or Sixth Form setting.

• Strong subject knowledge across ICT and computing-related topics.


• A recognised teaching qualification.

ICT, Computing, Information Technology or a relevant subject.

• Excellent communication, classroom management and organisational skills.


• Ability to engage and motivate learners.


• Strong practical and technical ICT knowledge.


• A genuine passion for supporting students to achieve strong academic and career outcomes.
