Location: Glasgow, G3 6RQ

Grade 7, £44,746 - £56,535 per annum pro rata

Hours: 35 hours

Contract: Fixed Term – 2 Years

Responsibilities
  • Deliver teaching on the BDes/MEDes Product Design Programme with emphasis on computational design applications within product design.
  • Provide support and input to programme, course and curriculum co-ordination, development and administration.
  • Bridge Product Design with other SIT programmes, including Immersive Systems Design and Sound for Moving Image, fostering cross-programme collaboration through computational methodologies.
  • Contribute to teaching excellence and participate in activities that develop a research profile or build capacity to develop one.
  • Engage with design practice as a mode of enquiry to explore and evaluate how possible futures become preferable futures.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Product Design, Computational Design or a related discipline.
  • Ideally possess a postgraduate qualification or significant industry experience.
  • Experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels within Higher Education.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the roles of design practice, particularly computational product design, in contributing to ethical, innovative, enterprising and socially responsible engagement with contemporary challenges.
