Job summary

University of Leicester invites applications for a Lecturer (Teaching and Research) in Cancer Sciences. Based in Leicester, the role includes teaching on the MSc Cancer Cell and Molecular Biology and delivering international teaching in Chongqing, China for up to 16 weeks per year.

You will drive research in translational cancer biology, publish internationally, and supervise postgraduate researchers while expanding collaborations both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, including practical laboratory-based teaching.
• Experience in securing or contributing to external research funding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver teaching on modules within the MSc Cancer Cell and Molecular Biology programme.
• Contribute to teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate education, including practical laboratory teaching.
• Undertake high-quality research within the Division of Cancer Sciences and Leicester Cancer Research Centre.
• Supervise postgraduate researchers and develop collaborations both in the UK and abroad.
