The Department of Engineering seeks to appoint a part-time, fixed-term lecturer in Audio Technology to deliver high-quality teaching and learning. The department combines expertise in developing and delivering industry-relevant undergraduate and postgraduate programs and maintains strong research and industry links.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, contributing to teaching at various levels. A BSc (Hons) in Audio Technology or an equivalent degree, teaching experience, and a commitment to enhancing student experience are essential.

The primary responsibility is to provide high-quality teaching to undergraduate BSc (Hons) Audio Technology students. The program covers a broad range of topics in Audio Technology, including Sound Production and Sound Reinforcement. The candidate will support teaching and supervise undergraduate research projects.

Applicants must demonstrate effective teaching skills at the undergraduate level, with experience in Sound Production and/or Sound Reinforcement, and proficiency in Pro Tools, Reaper, and other DAW software. Knowledge of pro audio equipment, including microphones, mixers, loudspeakers, and networked audio systems, is required. Skills in related areas such as Game Sound development, Audio programming (Max, C++, Matlab), and Acoustic Modelling are desirable. Strong organizational, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and presentation skills are also essential.
