About the Department

The Institute for Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship (ICCE) is a highly innovative centre for arts/creative/cultural management, cultural policy, entrepreneurship, and international retail business, sustainability and technologies with a worldwide reputation for excellence in research and teaching. ICCE has approximately twenty-eight academic staff and many associate lecturers who are responsible for five MAs, one BA, and a PG Certificate.

About the Role

The role is for a (fixed-term, 0.7 FTE) Lecturer in the field of museums and galleries and arts management. The position holder will be responsible for teaching specific modules on museums and galleries topics, developing and delivering associated teaching content, and managing site visits and guest speakers, and for tutoring and supervising MA students. You will work closely with other lecturers in the school and take on administrative duties.

About the Candidate

You will have a PhD (or be close to completion) in the fields of museum studies, museology, art gallery management, or appropriate related discipline. You will have experience in and an understanding of working in museums and galleries, and may have collaborative links with museums and galleries, especially those in the London area. You will also have experience in developing and delivering museums and galleries education, and a proven track record in developing the skills education profile of HE students.
