Role Information:

FTE Salary: Up to £36,099.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)
Actual Salary: Up to £21,659.40
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 22.2 hours per week

Teach what matters, shape the future of the Animal Sector.

Have you got experience in Animal or Animal Science, with a desire to help to shape the next generation of workers in the Animal sector? Keen to share your knowledge and industry experience in a rewarding career in education? Many of our students aim to go on a study at higher education, gain employment within the sector or an apprenticeship.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
-Tutor, plan and deliver Animal management/care on a range of animal care/management qualifications ranging from L1-3
-Provide academic and pastoral tutoring to students (including signposting appropriately)
-Manage and assess student work and give feedback verbally and written via Microsoft office teams/365 and other programs
-Support students to achieve their qualification in collaboration with other lecturers and wider staff in college.
-Keep records/tracking of student data and assessment outcomes on MS teams, Promonitor and other software
-Complete internal quality assurance duties
-Partake in duties to market the department and courses

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
-A Level 5 teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards during employment)
-Either a professional qualification in Animal, or recent experience in Animal Care OR a Animal specialism with a passion for applied learning, within the animal sector.
-A commitment to safeguarding, equality and continuous professional development
-Strong communication, organisation and digital skills. A good working knowledge of Microsoft teams would be desirable
