Lecturer in Agriculture
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time or Part-time
Salary: £33,500 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Northamptonshire

Role Overview:

We are working with a college based in Northamptonshire that is renowned for its picturesque rural campus and exceptional commitment to hands-on, practical education in agriculture and related fields.

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced individuals for the role of Lecturer in Agriculture to cover maternity leave. Prior experience in education is not required as the college is committed to staff training.

There are three positions available, and part-time applicants are welcome. The successful candidates will develop and deliver courses in Agriculture, including Arable, Livestock, and Farm Mechanisation.

If you have experience with one type of farming but haven't taught before, we still encourage you to apply to see where you might fit on the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach and develop courses in Agriculture, such as arable, livestock farming, or farm mechanisation.
  • Deliver practical sessions and ensure safety around machinery, specifically tractors and telehandlers.
  • Focus on crops like wheat, oats, oilseed rape, and grass, as well as managing sheep and beef animals.

  • Willingness to work towards and achieve a Diploma in Teaching and Learning.
