Lecturer in Accounting & Finance - West London

Department: Academic/Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU)

Location: West London - On site

Type of Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week) - (N.B. sponsorship is not offered for this role)

The Role: We are seeking Lecturers to teach undergraduate modules for our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings, and weekends is required.

Please note: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

What you'll be doing: Deliver management modules in accounting and finance, develop course materials, assess students, and stay updated with the latest developments in your field and student support practices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, delivering, and assessing student work to meet learning outcomes
  • Updating and improving course materials
  • Using diverse teaching methods
  • Engaging in staff development and administrative duties
  • Keeping current with field developments and student support practices
  • Working towards objectives related to student attendance, progression, and satisfaction

About you:

  • Master's degree in a relevant subject (PhD desirable)
  • Previous UK HE lecturing experience
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter
  • Experience supervising student work and providing feedback
  • Ability to maintain organized student records
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work with diverse groups

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commitment to enroll during probation
  • Experience in designing academic or professional education programmes
