A leading university in Scotland is seeking a part-time Lecturer in Accounting to join their Department of Finance, Accounting, and Risk. This is a part-time (0.6 FTE), fixed-term contract for two years at Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland's largest and leading modern university. The Glasgow School for Business and Society (GSBS), specifically the Department of Finance, Accounting, and Risk (FAR), seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Accounting. The successful candidate will teach and manage modules across undergraduate, postgraduate, and graduate apprenticeship levels, undertake module leadership, and engage in curriculum development informed by scholarly research.
Applicants should possess relevant qualifications in accounting and have experience in teaching, supporting student learning, and assessment in higher education or the professional community. Expertise in financial, management, and/or public sector accounting is desirable. A higher education teaching qualification and/or Fellow status with AdvanceHE is preferred. Industry experience is advantageous and may suit candidates with extensive industry backgrounds demonstrating potential for teaching, research, and academic collaboration.
