The School of Vocational and Technical Studies (VTS) at South Thames College is seeking a qualified and experienced Health and Social Care Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching, learning, assessment, and tutorial support to students, aiming to maximize achievement and continuous improvement.
This role involves supporting curriculum development through employer engagement and learner skills development. The successful candidate will develop, promote, and sustain innovative strategies for quality improvement. Responsibilities include selecting assessment methods, assessing student work, providing constructive feedback, and reflecting on teaching practices to enhance performance.
Applicants should hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to obtain one), possess a relevant degree in Health and Social Care, and have teaching experience in Health and Social Care within an FE College. A proven track record of supporting learners, setting and reviewing targets, and effective employer engagement is essential.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of current teaching, assessment, and quality assurance frameworks, interdisciplinary skills, and experience. Advanced computer literacy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure to deadlines are also required.
