Salary: £24161 - £33415 (actual) per annum

Hours Per Week: 28 hours (Part Time)

We are actively searching for an English Lecturer to join our English team at our Twelve Quays Campus for 28 hours per week on a 4 month fixed term basis. We will offer a salary of up to £41,769 per year, pro rata, plus many added incentives including:

About the Job:

As a lecturer - English you will provide engaging and effective instruction to a diverse range of students studying English language from Entry level up to GCSE. This encompasses developing and delivering well-structured lessons that cater to various learning styles, employing a variety of teaching methodologies, and ensuring that all learners grasp fundamental mathematical concepts.

About You:

  • Hold a teaching qualification (Certificate of Education, PGCE or equivalent).
  • Hold a specialist Level 4/5 English qualification (or from a related discipline e.g. History).
  • Have a minimum Level 2 Mathematics qualification.
  • Be able to evidence successful experience of teaching Functional Skills maths and GCSE English.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of GCSE English specifications and/or Functional Skills standards.
