LECTURER – ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS

To supplement our existing staff team, we would welcome applications from those interested in teaching Electrical Installation within the Department of Construction Trades Technology.

With practical experience in the relevant discipline, you must be a qualified Electrician and have served a recognised Electrical Installation Apprenticeship, and have post qualified industry work experience in Electrical Installation.

You should be qualified to a minimum of HNC level in an Electrical discipline (SCQF level 7) or an equivalent level of qualification, in an appropriate field. Possession of current BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulation qualification in addition to Inspection & Test certification is essential. Ideally, you will have experience in delivering and developing the Further Education curriculum. Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and possession of a teaching qualification, and assessor or verifier units, would be desirable.

An effective communicator, and a highly motivated individual, you will have a passion for the subject and the ability to work to deadlines both within a team setting, and on your own.
