Overview

Lecturer - Electrical Installation

Salary: 41,833 - 50,359

Hours: 1.0 FTE / 35 Hours

Location: Based at Falkirk Campus

Contract: Fixed-term to June 2026

Responsibilities
  • Teach Electrical Engineering to learners across SCQF levels 5 to 7 in classroom and practical/experiential settings.
  • Deliver predominantly classroom-based learning with practical activities within units. Produce high-quality learning, teaching and assessment materials and deliver teaching relative to the specialist areas in electrical engineering.
  • Deliver theory elements in Access, NC, HNC and HND electrical engineering, including City and Guilds qualifications. Initially focus on theory delivery.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and up-to-date.
  • Demonstrate appropriate ICT skills and knowledge of health and safety.
  • Be prepared to work toward a professional teaching qualification, and Assessor and Verifier qualifications. Teaching experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Possibly work at other Forth Valley campuses, as required by the Department of STEM and Construction.

Further Details

The Department of STEM and Construction operates across all three Forth Valley campuses and there may be a requirement to work at our other campuses if required.
