Newcastle College is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and qualified individual for the role of Lecturer in Electrical.
The main responsibilities include delivering and assessing high-quality learning programmes in Electrical, across various levels of further education and apprenticeships, as well as undertaking programme leadership, tutorial, and administrative duties.
The candidate should have a strong background in L2 - L3 Electrical Engineering and a proven track record of professional/vocational expertise in the Engineering sector, including circuit construction, maintenance, and motor systems.
Qualifications required include a Level 3 qualification or industry-recognised standard in a relevant field, a post-16 teaching qualification, and English and maths qualifications at Level 2, or a willingness to achieve these within an agreed timeframe. Experience in programme leadership in FE and apprenticeships, along with successful teaching and assessment practice, is desirable.
Essential skills include self-management of workload, meeting deadlines, strong oral and written communication skills, and good IT skills. The role offers flexible hours, potentially including evenings and weekends.
