Harrogate College is seeking an experienced Electrical Teacher with specialist expertise for our Electrical department. This role involves teaching full-time students in our fully equipped Electrical workshop, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing curriculum that emphasizes learner success and achievement.

About The Role

As an Electrician, you will teach learners across all attendance modes and levels of Electrical Installations, including:

• 16-18-year-old Study Programmes
• 19+ learners on Study Programmes

You will ensure students gain the necessary skills for further study, employment, or apprenticeships.

What You Will Do

• Provide current, specialist knowledge in a skills shortage area.
• Maintain industry links and ensure curriculum reflects latest practices.
• Keep the curriculum team updated with sector developments through CPD and industrial updating.
• Prepare and deliver lessons on a range of topics using industry knowledge.
• Contribute to high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Keep accurate records of learners’ progress.

About You

• Hold or be willing to work towards a Level 5 Teaching Qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE).
• Possess relevant vocational/technical qualification or degree.
• Have recent, relevant experience and expertise in the subject sector.
• Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge.
• Understand the Further Education or school sector.
