Job summary

York St John University invites applications for two fixed-term Lecturers in Computer Science at the London Campus. You will contribute to MSc Computer Science and MSc Data Science and support AI programmes planned for Feb 2027, subject to validation.

Teaching, curriculum development and collaboration within a team are core duties. We seek candidates with a master’s degree, HE teaching experience, and the ability to supervise postgraduate research.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• Successful teaching experience in higher education or equivalent professional practice.
• Breadth and depth to teach across listed areas.
• Ability to teach postgraduate students and supervise postgraduate research.

Responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching with online/blended approaches.
• Contribute to curriculum review and development.
• Develop teaching through reflection, peer feedback and scholarly activity.
• Undertake module leadership and contribute to mentoring and programme administration.
• Support student project supervision and develop research skills.
• Engage in independent and collaborative research and knowledge exchange.
