Job description

Job Description

Permanent, Part Time (0.4)

The Creative Business Studies programmes at Kingston College offer students a unique blend of a vocational BTEC in a creative subject alongside an A Level in Business Studies. This combination attracts high-achieving applicants and mirrors the entrepreneurial spirit of the creative industries.

The Creative Industries School are now seeking a Lecturer to deliver engaging and relevant skills and knowledge in line with the Pearson A Level Business Studies curriculum. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, proactive, and highly organised, with prior teaching experience in this subject and at this level.

As our Lecturer, we’d like you to hold a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification/s, hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one), and be recognized as a good or outstanding teacher. You’ll have experience of effectively monitoring and supporting learners to achieve or exceed their potential, with a strong commitment to personalized learning, equality, diversity, and safeguarding.

With a thorough understanding of what makes for excellent evidence-based teaching, learning, and assessment—including being a reflective practitioner with the ability to conceive and implement innovative approaches—you’ll have experience of successfully supporting learners to achieve exam-based qualifications at this level.

The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.

Closing date for the return of completed applications is 29th May 2025.

The benefits package includes generous annual leave of 40 days plus up to 8 additional days over Christmas/New Year, as well as 5 days of Wellbeing leave to enhance employees’ physical and mental health. There is an excellent pension scheme with significant employer contributions (Teachers Pensions or Local Government Pension Scheme), subsidised sports facilities, professional development opportunities, and a salary sacrifice cycle-to-work scheme. The benefits package will be pro-rated for part-time staff.
