Job summary

Coventry College is seeking a Lecturer in Construction (Multi Skills) to deliver high-quality teaching and assessment in a dynamic FE environment. The role focuses on engaging, inclusive lesson design aligned with industry needs and curriculum standards.

The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum development, provide academic and pastoral support to learners, and collaborate with colleagues and external partners to ensure a first-class learning experience in Coventry.

Qualifications

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification or be willing to work towards.
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in construction.
  • Level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics.
  • Provide evidence of continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to support learners.
  • Design and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons meeting curriculum standards.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and work with partners to ensure an outstanding learning experience.

Job Title: Lecturer Construction (Multi Skills)

Location: Coventry College

Contract Type: Full Time / Permanent

Salary: £32,347 to £47,537 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer to join our team, delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to support our learners in achieving their full potential. You'll play a key role in designing and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that meet curriculum standards and reflect industry needs.

As a Lecturer at Coventry College, you'll contribute to curriculum development, provide academic and pastoral support to learners, and work closely with colleagues and external partners to ensure an outstanding learning experience. Requirements
Must-Have:
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification or be willing to work towards
  • Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in construction
  • Level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics
  • Provide evidence of continuing professional development

You should also be able to demonstrate:

  • Evidence of effective tracking and monitoring of a wide range of students on a range of different programmes
  • Experience of teaching Construction from Levels 1, 2 and 3 within a teaching/training environment
  • Ability to deliver functional skills within relevant subject area
